Basic Operations 353. Select the first file in a sequential list of files to be deleted. Press and hold the Shiftkey, then click on the last file in the list to be deleted. The selected list will appearhighlighted and all may be deleted with a single click of the Delete button.4. While holding the Control (Ctrl) key down, click to select any number of files (inany order) to be tagged for deletion, then click Delete.Note: The Ctrl key allows toggling selections, and may be used to de-select files thatwere accidentally highlighted. This is also useful in combination with the Shift key.A large block may be highlighted using the Shift key, then use the Ctrl key andmouse to de-select individual files from within the highlighted list. The Ctrl keymay also be used to add additional files to the block created with the Shift selectionmethod.ExitExit will close the current Channel window. A prompt will appear to save a recordingif the file or its edits are new. Exit is grayed-out when Record or Edit operations are inprogress.The Status BarA status bar appears at the bottom of the window that provides system information to the userincluding GENLOCK , INPUT VIDEO DETECTED , and TIME REMAINING — PERCENT FULL . Messages suchas CONNECTED TO HOST or CONNECTION TO HOST REFUSED are also displayed as diagnostics.Error and status messages from the RAID system can also be displayed here.Transport ControlsThe clip window button functions are common to both recording and playback of a clip. Thissection introduces the buttons by function. See Recording on page 42, and Playing a Clip onpage 45 for relevant procedures.RemoteSelect Remote to control the channel using controllers or automation systems connected tothe serial control ports. The GUI can take control of a channel at any time by un-checkingthe Remote check box. If a remote controller is operating on the channel, deselectingRemote will immediately cause the GUI to assume control of the channel; remotecommands will be ignored. Closing the channel window saves the Local/Remote setting inthe last-selected state.NOTE 1: When the Channel is under Remote control it will continue to display currentactivity.NOTE 2: Some remote controllers may need to be reinitialized to restore proper operationafter local control is selected and then released.
