For example, if you wouldlike only one computer on the LAN to have Internet access, you can associate thatISP connection with one computer exclusively. This would prevent all othercomputers on the LAN from accessing the Internet. To change the association between service provider connections and a particularcomputer on the LAN, do the following.1 From the 56K LAN Modem main page, click the Workstations image. The Workstation Selection window appears.2 From the Workstation drop down list box, select the workstation for which youwould like to change the accessible service providers. You can modify the associations for your workstation via the following fields:n Name: This field contains the name of the selected computer. If you have aMacintosh computer on your LAN, the name of the Mac computer does notautomatically appear in the Name field. You should enter the name of the Macin the Name field.n IP Address: This field contains the IP address of the selected computer. Youshould not have to make any changes to this field unless you are using static IPaddressing on your LAN (that is, IP addresses which are not dynamicallyassigned by the 56K LAN Modem).n IP Address Statically Configured on Workstation: Check this box to reserve theIP address assigned for this particular workstation. This option allows astatically assigned workstation to coexist on a dynamically assigned LAN.n Service Provider Usage: Under Enable the use of the following ServiceProviders, you can see the service providers which are accessible from thiscomputer. If you have more than one ISP configured, all calls will be routed to the first ISPlisted. To connect to another ISP that you have configured, uncheck the box(es) ofthe ISP(s) that you do not wish to use at this time.
