Oryou may use the buttons located along the left side of the script window to guideyou through the scripting process.Connection Script Command SyntaxThe following section explains the valid script command syntax.n The Begin command (begin) initiates the script. The first line of the script muststart with begin.n The Delay command (delaysecond) designates a length of time to wait beforesending the next command in the script. The acceptable values are between1-60 seconds.n The SetPort command (setportdatabit,parity,stopbit) allows you tomatch the script to the communication port settings of the remote server. Thevalid databit is 8 or 7. The valid parity is none, even, or odd. The valid stopbit iseither 1 or 2.n The Transmit command (transmit“text string”) sends a text string to theremote server. An example of a transmit string might be your accountusername or password. This text must be included between the quotationmarks. A carriage return is simulated by the characters ^M within the quotationmarks. The maximum length for this string is 64 characters.n The WaitFor command (waitfor“string, second”) allows you to designatethe text that the script will wait for before proceeding. An example of text thatyou might wait for is the string Username, for which you would send yourusername as a reply. If the timeout period elapses before a matching string isreceived, the script execution will abort. The maximum string length is 64characters, and the acceptable second is between 1-60.n The End command completes your script. The last line of your script mustconclude with end.Using the ConfigurationButtonsTo create a connection script using the configuration buttons, do the following.1 From the Script Configuration page, click Begin.The text begin is entered as the first line in the script window.2 Click Delay to set a delay interval before executing the next line of the script.The Delay dialog box opens.3 Enter the amount of time in seconds that your script will wait before proceeding.This delay interval is used to allow the remote server time to process your request.Click OK when finished.The text delay xx is entered in the script window.4 Click Set Port.The Data Bits dialog box opens.5 Enter the number of Data Bits required by your service provider.
