Receiving Calls 79Receiving Calls The 56K LAN Modem can receive both voice and data calls, as follows.Receiving Voice Calls Voice calls received by the 56K LAN Modem will be routed to any analogequipment connected to the Phone port, by default, assuming that a data call isnot currently connected. Note that Auto Answer is disabled by default.Auto Answer The Auto Answer feature allows your LAN Modem to automatically answer anincoming call after a user-specified number of rings. By default, Auto Answer isdisabled. In this case, all incoming calls are routed to any analog equipmentconnected to the Phone port.You can choose to have your LAN Modem automatically answer incoming calls, oryou can leave Auto Answer disabled (the default).
