This helps you move from reacting tochanges in network traffic to anticipating the ways that applications usethe network.Traffix Manager provides the following features for network monitoring:n Graphical display of network traffic — The graphical display oftraffic patterns shows how applications are being used on yournetwork. Traffix Manager begins with a high-level, logical view ofnetwork traffic to show overall connections between groups ofdevices. You can then zoom in to see more detailed information aboutconversations, servers and other devices on the network. You canaccess historical information to help you make informed decisionsregarding resource utilization, capacity planning and network growth.n Generation of traffic events — Once data collection from yournetwork has begun, you can build up a picture of typical networkusage. You can then specify rules to monitor unusual events on yournetwork, such as unauthorized access or devices which are using anabnormal amount of bandwidth. When these rules are triggered,Traffix Manager generates events. This is especially useful if you do nothave time to monitor the network continuously but want to view a logof the events generated over a specified period.n Fully automated reporting tools — The reporting tools allow youto generate color reports automatically to provide information aboutyour network. For example, you can create reports on the busiestsegments and devices, or on web usage. Traffix Manager reports canbe produced in HTML format and viewed through a web browser, aswell as professional printed color reports and CSV files for other toolssuch as Microsoft Excel.n Client/server architecture — You can run multiple and remoteclients against a single server.
