48 CHAPTER 3: U SING M ESSAGING FEATURESOverview This chapter describes how to use IP Messaging messaging features.These features allow you to listen to and send messages, and placeoutside calls (if enabled by your administrator). You can also use the IPMessaging Web Provisioning interface to view information about newand saved messages.There are three ways to access IP Messaging messages and informationabout those messages:■ You can use the TUI on your telephone to listen to new or savedmessages in your mailbox. These messages include voice, e-mail, andfax notification. You can also make calls to external numbers, if thisfeature has been enabled by your administrator. These topics arediscussed in this chapter.■ You can use the IP Messaging Web Provisioning interface to viewinformation about messages in your mailbox. You can view thenumber of new and saved messages of each message type, as well asthe number of unreviewed and urgent messages. See Using the WebInterface to View Message Information.■ You can use a third-party application, such as Microsoft Outlook, toaccess messages in your mailbox. See Using an E-Mail Application toView Messages.Listening toMessagesTo listen to messages:1 From the Main menu, press [1].2 To hear a summary of this menu, press [0].3 Follow the prompts to listen to new, saved, or deleted messages.4 Follow the prompts to: review, save, delete, reply to, forward (with andwithout a recorded comment), replay, pause, fast forward, or skip themessage.If the message you are reviewing is an e-mail message, you listen to thetext component of the message (if Text-To-Speech is enabled on yoursystem) or print the message as a fax.5 To hear message options, press [5].6 Follow the prompts to return to the previous message or to get messageinformation
