Planning the cabinet installation45Preventing the recirculation of hot airPrevent hot air circulation outside the cabinet by leading the outcoming hot air awayfrom the area where the inlet air to the cabinet is taken. Possible solutions are listedbelow:• gratings that guide air flow at the air inlet and outlet• air inlet and outlet at different sides of the cabinet• cool air inlet in the lower part of the front door, and an extra exhaust fan on theroof of the cabinet.Prevent hot air circulation inside the cabinet with, for example, leak-proof air bafflesat the positions shown in the diagram below. No gaskets are usually required.1a Air flow to the drive module, max. 40 °C (104 °F) 3 Drive module1b Air inlet to the drive circuit boards and DC and output busbars 4 Disconnector and fuses2a Vertical air baffle that separates the cool and hot areas in the cabinet 5 Contactor2b Vertical air baffle 6 JCU control unit2c Upper horizontal air baffle 7 Air flow out2d Lower horizontal air baffle2e Optional air baffle that is needed when there is no fan on the lowerpart of the cabinet door (see 1b on page 38).
