Manually releasing the brakesGeneralThe section below details how to release the holding brakes of each axis' motor.This may be done in one of three ways:• using the brake release unit when the robot is connected to the controller.• using the brake release unit when the robot is disconnected from the controller, butconnected to an external power supply at the connector R1.MP.• using an external voltage supply directly on the motor connector.Using the brake release unit when the robot is connected to the controllerThis section details how to release the holding brakes using the internal brake release unit.Action Note/Illustration1. The internal brake release unit is located at the base ofthe robot and equipped with six buttons for controllingthe axes brakes.
