The activation of the WARNING and ALARM outputs depends on the Operating timemode setting. Both WARNING and ALARM occur immediately after the conditions aremet if Operating time mode is set to “Immediate”. If Operating time mode is set to“Timed Warn”, WARNING is activated within the next 24 hours at the time of the dayset using the Operating time hour setting. If Operating time mode is set to “TimedWarn Alm”, the WARNING and ALARM outputs are activated at the time of day setusing Operating time hour. The Operating time hour setting is used to set the hour of day inCoordinated Universal Time (UTC). The setting has to be adjustedaccording to the local time and local daylight-saving time. The function contains a blocking functionality. Activation of the BLOCK input blocksboth WARNING and ALARM.6.3.5 ApplicationThe machine operating time since commissioning indicates the use of the machine. For example, the mechanical wear and lubrication requirement for the shaft bearing ofthe motors depend on the use hours. If some motor is used for long duration runs, it might require frequent servicing, whilefor a motor that is not used regularly the maintenance and service are scheduled lessfrequently. The accumulated operating time of a motor together with the appropriatesettings for warning can be utilized to trigger the condition based maintenance of themotor. The operating time counter combined with the subsequent reset of the operating-timecount can be used to monitor the motor's run time for a single run. Both the long term accumulated operating time and the short term single run durationprovide valuable information about the condition of the machine and device. Theinformation can be co-related to other process data to provide diagnoses for theprocess where the machine or device is applied.6.3.6 SignalsTable 543:MDSOPT Input signalsName Type Default DescriptionBLOCK BOOLEAN 0=False Block input statusPOS_ACTIVE BOOLEAN 0=False When active indicates the equipment is runningRESET BOOLEAN 0=False Resets the accumulated operation time to initialvalueSection 6 1MRS758755 ASupervision functions528 REC615 and RER615Technical Manual
