Com-munication between such devices requires various rate adaptionprotocols supporting various bit rates and RS-232 connector set-tings (protocol type).PPP ModeSelects the PPP mode the Express 3000 uses: Point-to-Point (PPP)Async-to-Sync, Multilink PPP (MP), or PPP with Compression.Enable Bandwidth on DemandUses the thresholds defined in the Protocols tab to bring up anddown multilink channels, when this feature is enabled.Disable BACPControls the negotiation of Bandwidth Allocation Control Proto-col (BACP). BACP allows the client and server to exchange phonenumber information and bring up and down channels, as needed.Check Enable Bandwidth on Demand to use this feature.DTR OptionsSets the following DTR options:Ignore DTR Disregards the state of the data terminal ready(DTR) signal on the EIA-232.AT Command whenOff Forces the unit into the AT command processormode when DTR is not asserted. To return on-line, DTR must be asserted and the ATO com-mand must be issued.Answer if On Answers incoming calls only if DTR is asserted.Idle when Off Forces an end to the current call when DTR is nolonger asserted.
