Software Flow controluses XON/XOFF to control data transferred between the DTE and theExpress. Selecting No Flow Ctrl disables flow control.SETTING PROTOCOL OPTIONSThe Express communicates with many different types of telecommu-nication equipment including other Express units, ISDN terminaladapters, BONDING mode 1-compatible inverse multiplexers, andPPP-compatible bridges/routers.Communicating between such diverse types of equipment requiresthe use of various rate adaptation protocols to support various bitrates and DTE settings. The Express supports the following rate adap-tation protocols:1. Clear Channel (no rate adaption protocol)2. Point-to point protocol (PPP) asynchronous to synchronous con-version3. BONDING mode 1 (Bandwidth on Demand InteroperabilityGroup)4. CCITT V.1205. CCITT V.1106. FALLBACK7. PPP async-syncThe desired protocol may be selected with AT commands at the DTEport or from the Express built-in menu system. (With the built-inmenu system, view these protocol choices by press the number corre-sponding to Protocol and pressing Enter.) A description of protocolsfollows.
