Installation38 61287802F1-34BRevision B9. Plug the UPS power cord into the utility power cord inlet on the UPS.10. Plug the UPS power cord into the wall outlet. (The UPS battery charges when it isconnected to the utility power. The battery charges fully during the first 24 hours ofnormal operation. Do not expect full battery run capability during this initial chargeperiod.)11. Verify indicator lights are in agreement with manufacturer specifications and the unit isfunctioning.5.3.6 Fiber Splice SC/APC Bulkhead NID (P/N: 1187770G1) InstallationA fiber connection is required between the inner GPON 452/454 enclosure and the fibertermination point in the Outer Enclosure. This may be achieved by using the provided fiberjumper. To install the fiber connection, perform the following steps:Remove the dust cover from one end of the fiber jumper and attach it to the incoming fiberjumper at the SC/APC Bulkhead connector (see Figure 16).1. Connect the fiber cable coming into the Splice Housing to the Bulkhead Connector.2. Route the fiber jumper from the Bulkhead connector to the connection on the bottom ofthe Electronics Module as shown in Figure 16. Ensure that this cable is not pinched whenthe Electronics Module is closed.3. Close the Electronics Module and secure by tightening the “Inner Security Screw” (seeFigure 5 on page 28.Figure 16.
