Refer to Package Contents, onpage 13.1. Make sure that the printer is switched off and that the AXIS 560external power supply is disconnected.2. Locate the serial number, found on the underside label of theAXIS 560, and write it down. You will need this number laterduring the network configuration.3. Connect the printer to the LPT1, LPT2 or the COM1 port onthe AXIS 560 using an appropriate printer cable.4. Connect your AXIS 560 to the network using a twisted pair(10baseT) or thin wire (10base2) cable.5. Switch on the printer and connect the external power supply tothe AXIS 560. The power indicator lights. If the networkindicator starts to flash, the AXIS 560 is successfully connected tothe network.6. Press and release the test button on the AXIS 560 to print a testpage. If the printer and the AXIS 560 are correctly connected, theAXIS 560 internal test page will be printed.You are now ready to install your server onto your network using oneof the methods detailed in the Installation Guide, on page 24.
