AXIS 7100 User’s Manual Configuring the AXIS 7100 43Specifying Network SettingsClick Network Settings to view and modify the configurationparameters for all supported protocols, namely:• TCP/IP - defines the IP Address, default router and subnet mask,automatic download method (BOOTP, RARP or DHCP), domainname, DNS server and WINS server.Note:• Web (HTTP) - an external URL reference with URL to page orimage options.• E-mail (SMTP) - defines the IP Addresses or DNS names forprimary and secondary e-mail servers, connection time-out, e-mail reply address, BCC (blind carbon copy) address.• External Address Book - defines an external e-mail address bookon an LDAP server or a destination list on an FTP server which isautomatically retrieved and downloaded to the AXIS 7100.• Printing - defines the different printing parameters. Click thecheckboxes to enable printing in general and also to select thesupported printing protocols (LPD, Raw TCP/IP). All printingparameters are enabled by default.The network settings are set automatically if you use RARP, DHCP orBOOTP for downloading the IP address. However, it is recommended thatyou verify the network settings using the Web browser interface,regardless of how the initial network setup was done.
