Müse Parameter Descriptions307Contraction FrequencyThe Contraction Frequency parameter determines how often uterine contractions occur. Thisparameter is defined as the number of contractions per ten minutes. The contraction frequencyparameter has some variability. The magnitude of the variability is determined by the ContractionFrequency Variability parameter, found in the Fetal & Labor Additional Parameters.Default: 3 ctx/10 minRange: 1 ctx/10 min - 7 ctx/10 minContraction AmplitudeThe Contraction Amplitude parameter determines the amplitude of the uterine contractions. Thisparameter is defined in units of mmHg. The contraction amplitude has some variability. Themagnitude of the variability is determined by the Contraction Amplitude Variability parameter found inthe Fetal & Labor Additional Parameters.Default: 50 mmHgRange: 0 mmHg - 120 mmHgContraction DurationThe Contraction Duration parameter determines the length of the uterine contractions and is definedin units of seconds.Default: 80 secRange: 0 sec - 120 secPatient PushingThe Patient Pushing parameter determines whether the patient will be pushing during contractions. When this parameter is activated (On), there will be increased variability and increased peak height ofboth the intrauterine pressure and transabdominal uterine activity signals during a large contraction.Default: OffEarly Deceleration MagnitudeThe Early Deceleration Magnitude parameter determines the magnitude of the early decelerations inthe fetal heart rate signal. The selectable options are None, Mild, Moderate and Severe.Default: None
