Trailer towing or hauling aheavy load.It is normal for the reading tofluctuate.If the gauge pointer reaches thewarning area or the shadedthermostat symbol at the far end ofthe gauge and remians there formore than 30 seconds, the enginecoolant has overheated.If the engine coolant hasoverheated, pull over and stop thevehicle as soon as it is safe to doso. Then the light stayson solid until the belt is buckled.This cycle may continue severaltimes if the driver remains orbecomes unbuckled while thevehicle is moving.If the driver safety belt is buckled,neither the light nor the chimecomes on.
