User Manual – Rev AJ California Instruments4.2.6.4 VOLTAGE/FREQUENCY SWEEP/STEP sub menuFigure 4-15 VOLTAGE/FREQUENCY SWEEP/STEP SETUP ScreenThe Volt/freq sweep/step screen shown in Figure 4-15 can be reached from the transient screeas follows:1. Scroll to the VOLT/FREQ SWEEP/STEP entry using the up and down cursor keys.nscreen. The EVENT # is the lastdisplay to return to the TRANSIEThe VOLT/FREQ SWEEP/STEP screen has the following fields:URATION cyndtheEND FREQEND VOLT t the end of the transient event inEND DELAYFUNCTION estep of the transient sequence.REPEAT of times the VOLTAGE/FREQUENCYSWEEP/STEP transient will repeat before it will proceed to theexit the transient. The number of times thetransient event is generated is equal to the REPEAT + 1. Leavethis value at zero if only one execution of this event in the list isrequired.2. Press the ENTER key to bring up the VOLT/FREQ SWEEP/STEP screen. The VOLT/FREQ SWEEP/STEP screen has several data fields. All data fields that are blank tothe right of the equal sign must be filled or an error message will occur when trying to leave thisdata field to be filled. Entering the event data field will cause theNT screen where a new selection can be made.D Duration is the amount of time the output voltage and frequenwill take to reach the END FREQ and END VOLT levels.Duration will define the slew rate of the output voltage afrequency for the event. A duration of 0 seconds will causeoutput voltage and frequency to reach their end valueimmediately. This is the output frequency at the end of the transient event inHz.This is the output voltage avolts. This is the time delay the output frequency and voltage will stayat END FREQ and END VOLT before proceeding with the nexttransient event or completing the transient.[3Pi Controller only] This field can be used to select the wavshape to be used during thisEach step can use a different wave shape from the availablelibrary of 50 user-defined waveforms or the three standardwaveforms. The output wave shape changes upon entry intoeach step and remains in effect for the duration of the step. Thedefault wave shape is always the SINE (sine wave). This is the numbernext event or98 MX Series
