This equipment may not necessarily provide for the effective hand-over of a call to orfrom a telephone connected to the same line.2. The operation of this equipment on the same line as telephone or other equipmentwith audible warning devices or automatic ring detectors will give rise to bell tinkle ornoise and may cause false tripping of the ring detector. Should this equipment become physically damaged, disconnect immediately fromthe Telecom connection and power source and contact your nearest service agent.4. If the supply cord of this equipment is damaged, it must be replaced by the specialcord (Parts No.: HH2-1910).6. Please note when you connect an extension phone to this device, if you use anextension phone which has features such as “last number redial”, redial memorynumbers may be lost.Telecom FaxAbilityIn New Zealand, Telecom N.Z. offers the FaxAbility capability. This service allows you toassign two numbers to your line: one for fax and one for telephone. When the faxnumber is called, the network sends a specific ring tone which your unit recognises andautomatically handles as a fax call. If the telephone number is called, a different ringtone is sent out from the network so that the call is handled as a voice call. This meansthat there is no switching delay at the caller’s end.Contact Telecom for connection information.
