Use only dedicated and properly grounded outlets for the Scanner. Donot use extension cords. The ground connection serves to provide theinternal electronics with a reference voltage. Faulty or poor groundsources will cause this reference voltage to fall into a range that nolonger serves as a reliable reference voltage. The internal logic andprogramming of the imageFORMULA Scanner will not perform reliablybecause there is an insufficient difference between the internaloperating signal voltages and the poor ground reference signal. Aqualified electrician can measure and provide the ground source thatthe imageFORMULA Scanner machines or any computer controlledoffice equipment requires. Before installation, confirm that all necessary receptacles are available. Phase converters and step down transformers are not supported.Table 8 – Power Requirements for the Main unit and AccessoriesPart or Accessory Power Supply Power ReceptacleimageFORMULA DR-M160II120 V/15 A outlet NEMA 5-15RimageFORMULA Flatbed Scanner Unit 101imageFORMULA Flatbed Scanner Unit 201
