GENERAL NOTES TO INSTALLERCARRIER split room air conditioner has been carefully designed and manufactured under strictQuality Control conditions.Therefore you are completely responsible for proper installation completion and operation of the airconditioner.Carefully read the manual carefully before proceeding with the installation to ensure correctinstallation. This manual describes installation instructions to help ensure trouble free operation andextended life of the air conditioner.Make sure all accessory parts are with the system before beginning installation.You will need the following tools during installation:1. Standard screw driver 11. Tube bender2. Phillips head screw driver 12. Hexagonal wrench3. Cutter drill 13. Torque wrench4. Metal saw 14. Vacuum pump5. Water level 15. Gas leak detector6. Meter 16. Manometer for pressure measuring7. Tube cutter 17. Thermometer8. Cutter 18. Volts – ohm - millimeter9. Reamer 19. Electro circuit tester10. Flare toolAfter completion of installation, perform a run test and give the customer fullinstructions on the correct operation of the air conditioner including:• Turning the unit on and off. • Removal and cleaning of the air filters.• Functions of the remote control. • Re-installation of air filters after cleaningLeave the owner manual with the customer so that it can to be used during operation of the airconditioner.Leave the installation manual with the customer so that it can be used for any service andmaintenance operations.Advise the customer to the tips of energy saving while operating the air conditionerfor cooling.These tips are:1. KEEP DOORS, WINDOWS AND ANY OTHER OPENINGS CLOSED to prevent conditionedair from escaping and to prevent warm air from entering the space to be air-conditioned.2. CLEAN PERIODICALLY AIR FILTERS to assure maximum efficiency and adequate aircirculation of the air conditioner.3. KEEP DRAPES, FURNITURE OR OTHER OBSTRUCTIONS AWAY FROM BLOCKINGRETURN AIR AND/OR SUPPLY AIR OF THE AIR CONDITIONER to assure maximumefficiency and adequate air circulation of the air conditioner.
