E-49Important !Always make sure to first remove the IT-G500 from the Cradle when switchingthe selector switch.Water or other liquids on the data communication or power supply terminalscan lead to an electric shock or fire. Note also that soiling on the terminals willimpair the connection, leading to reduced power supply and communicationfunctionality. As a safety precaution, disconnect the AC adapter before wipingthe data communication and power supply terminals clean with a dry cloth orcotton bud.Never short out the power contacts of the Cradle. This can damage the Cradle.Note that subjecting the Cradle or cradle-type battery charger to impacts orstrong vibration could dislodge the Handheld Terminal. Also avoid any vibrationor impacts during communication with a LAN, USB client or USB host, as thiscan cause communication to be interrupted. When loading the IT-G500, fit it securely in place and check that the greenpower indicator LED on the front of the Cradle is lit. The IT-G500 must beinserted correctly to draw power and communicate successfully.Always cap ports that are not being used. Using the Cradle while the ports areuncapped can cause damage.Do not pick up the IT-G500 while it is mounted in the Cradle. Doing so mayresult in the Cradle being accidentally dropped, causing injury or damage. If the Cradle will not be used for an extended period, set the power switch toOFF.Place the Cradle or cradle-type battery charger on a flat, level surface and takecare when placing the IT-G500 in or removing it from the cradle. The microUSB port on the Handheld Terminal cannot be used while theterminal is set in the Cradle.Ethernet Cradle Specifications (HA-P62IO)1.
