ES601Plus OPERATING MANUALIn response to this command, ES601Plus will internally generate and then transmit a complete TestReport document as ASCII text to the PC. The format of this report is highly dependent on thesafety standard, but will be the same as the document that could otherwise be obtained by printing aTest Record saved earlier for a similar type of safety test. The last character sent in the report download is form feed \f (0x0C). Optionally, user softwaremay detect this form feed as an end-of-transmission marker. Alternatively, user software can employa timeout mechanism to determine the point at which ES601Plus stops sending characters.7.4.4 Format of Measurement DataOnce initiated by computer control as previously described, ES601Plus will transmit one or twolines of ASCII text for each measurement completed during the test sequence. Two lines of data aresent for leakage measurements (AC result, followed by DC result); for all other measurementsES601Plus sends one line of data. Each line of data is terminated with a carriage return \r (0x0D).Measurement data is separated into fields by the comma character , (0x2C). This type of format isreferred to as "comma-separated variables" (CSV) and files containing such data are directlycompatible with Microsoft® Excel. The first field of the CSV data is a 3-character mnemonic which specifies the type of measurementperformed. Depending on the type of measurement, the acceptance limit specified in the standardmay be included in the data, and if so, the last field before the terminating carriage return \r will beeither a P (pass) or F (fail) character as appropriate. For each measurement performed by ES601Plus, the format of the return data is listed in thefollowing table.Safety standard STD,[standard]\rLine voltages L1-L2 L1-GND L2-GNDACV, >, >, >,Vrms\rEquipmentload currentCUR,,Arms\rInsulation,L1+L2 to groundILG,,,Megohm,[-|P|F]\rInsulation,AP to groundIAP,,,Megohm,[-|P|F]\rProtective earth PRE,[ 1A|25A],[LC|PP],,,ohm,[P|F]\rLeakage, Encl.,IEC60601/AAMILEN,O??/?P/L2?/E?/AP?/X1?/X2?,,,[uArms|uAdc],[P/F]\rComputer Control/Chapter 7 # Page 137
