Installation manual19 EKHBRD011~016ADV1+Y1Indoor unit for air to water heat pump system4P402191-1A – 2015.04Type 1The benefit kWh rate power supply is of the type that power supply isnot interrupted.Type 2The benefit kWh rate power supply is of the type that power supplywill be interrupted after elapse of time.Type 3The benefit kWh rate power supply is of the type that power supply isinterrupted immediately.START -UP AND CONFIGURATIONThe indoor unit should be configured by the installer to match theinstallation environment (outdoor climate, installed options, etc.) anduser expertise.Pre-operation checksAfter the installation of the unit, check the following:1 Field wiringMake sure that the field wiring has been carried out according tothe instructions described in the chapter "Electrical wiring work"on page 15, according to the wiring diagrams and according toEuropean and national regulations.2 Fuses and protection devicesCheck that the fuses and other locally installed protectiondevices are of the size and type specified in the chapter"Electrical specifications" on page 38. Make sure that neither afuse nor a protection device has been bypassed.3 Earth wiringMake sure that the earth wires have been connected properlyand that the earth terminals are tightened.4 Internal wiringVisually check the switch box and the inside of the unit on looseconnections or damaged electrical components.5 InstallationCheck that the unit is properly installed, to avoid abnormalnoises and vibrations when starting up the unit.6 Damaged equipmentCheck the inside of the unit on damaged components orsqueezed pipes.7 Refrigerant leakCheck the inside of the unit on refrigerant leakage. If there is arefrigerant leak, call your local dealer.Do not touch any refrigerant which has leaked out of refrigerantpiping connections. This may result in frostbite.8 Water leakCheck the inside of the unit on water leakage. In case there is awater leakage close the water inlet and water outlet shut-offvalves and call your local dealer.9 Power supply voltageCheck the power supply voltage on the local supply panel. Thevoltage must correspond to the voltage on the identification labelof the unit.10 Air purge valveMake sure the air purge valve of the heat pump is open (at least2 turns).Make sure the air purge valve of the heater kit is open (at least2 turns). See installation manual of the heater kit.11 Shut-off valvesMake sure that the shut-off valves are correctly installed andfully open.Once all checks are fulfilled, the unit must be closed, only then canthe unit be powered up. When the power supply to the indoor unit isturned on, "88" is displayed on the remote controller during itsinitialization, which might take up to 30 seconds. During this processthe remote controller can not be operated.Field settingsThe indoor unit should be configured by the installer to match theinstallation environment (outdoor climate, installed options, etc.) anduser demand. Thereto, a number of so called field settings areavailable. These field settings are accessible and programmablethrough the user interface on the indoor unit. Each field setting is assigned a 3-digit number or code, for example[5-03], which is indicated on the user interface display. The first digit[5] indicates the 'first code' or field setting group. The second andthird digit [03] together indicate the 'second code'.A list of all field settings and default values is given in the "Fieldsettings table" on page 32. In this list we provided for 2 columns toregister the date and value of altered field settings at variance withthe default value.A detailed description of each field setting is given under "Detaileddescription" on page 20.Refer to the Annex on page 39 for a detailed overview and guide tostart-up of the unit.NOTE If the benefit kWh rate power supply is of the type thatpower supply is not interrupted, the unit will be forcedto off.It is important that all information in this chapter is readsequentially by the installer and that the system isconfigured as applicable. When a power failure occurred and the power returns tothe unit, the system will automatically restore it's settingsand restart.Switch off the power supply before making anyconnections.Operating the system with closed valves will damage thepump!
