Unshielded cables can bebetween transformer and LCL filter input side.It is important that shielded and armoured cables areconnected in a proper way to ensure the high EMCimmunity and low emissions. The connection can be made using either cable glandsor clamps• EMC cable glands: Generally available cableglands can be used to ensure an optimum EMCconnection.• EMC cable clamp: Clamps allowing easyconnection are supplied with the frequencyconverter.3.6.7 Motor CableThe motor must be connected to terminals U/T1/96, V/T2/97, W/T3/98. The cables are required to beequal length within 10% between the inverter moduleterminals and the first common point of a phase. Therecommended common point is the motor terminals.F2/F4 requirements: Motor phase cable quantities must bemultiples of 3, resulting in 3, 6, 9, or 12 (1 or 2 cables arenot allowed) to obtain equal amount of wires attached toeach inverter module terminal. The wires are required tobe equal length within 10% between the inverter moduleterminals and the first common point of a phase. Therecommended common point is the motor terminals.Output junction box requirements: The length, minimum2.5 m, and quantity of cables must be equal from eachinverter module to the common terminal in the junctionbox.NOTICEIf a retrofit application requires unequal amount of wiresper phase, consult the factory for requirements anddocumentation or use the top/bottom entry side cabinetoption. How to Install VLT AQUA Drive FC 202 Operation Instructions54 MG20P402 - Rev. 2013-12-1633
