3.6 Main Menu - Digital In/Out - Group 53.6.1 5-0* Digital I/O ModeParameters for configuring the input and output using NPNand PNP.These parameters cannot be adjusted while the motor isrunning.5-00 Digital Input ModeOption: Function:Set NPN or PNP mode for digital inputs 18,19 and 27.Digital Input Mode[0] * PNP Action on positive directional pulses (0). PNP systemsare pulled down to GND.[1] NPN Action on negative directional pulses (1). NPN systemsare pulled up to +24V, internally in the frequencyconverter.5-03 Digital Input 29 ModeOption: Function:[0] * PNP[1] NPN3.6.2 5-1* Digital InputsParameters for configuring the input functions for the inputterminals. The digital inputs are used for selecting various functions inthe frequency converter. All digital inputs can be set to thefollowing functions:Digital input function Desciption[0] No operation No reaction to signals transmitted toterminal.[1] Reset Resets frequency converter after a TRIP/ALARM. Not all alarms can be reset.[2] Coast inverse Leaves motor in free mode. Logic ‘0’ =>coasting stop.(Default Digital input 27): Coasting stop, inverted input (NC).[3] Coast and resetinverseReset and coasting stop inverted input(NC). Leaves motor in free mode and resetsthe frequency converter. Logic ‘0’ =>coasting stop and reset.[4] Quick Stop inverse Inverted input (NC). Generates a stop inaccordance with the quick-stop ramp timeset in 3-81 Quick Stop Ramp Time. Whenmotor stops, shaft is in free mode.[5] DC-brake inverse Inverted input for DC braking (NC). Stopsmotor by energising it with DC current for acertain time period, see 2-01 DC BrakeCurrent. Function is only active when valuein 2-02 DC Braking Time is different from 0.[6] Stop inverse Stop inverted function. Generates stopfunction when selected terminal goes fromlogical level “1” to “0” (not latched). Stop isperformed according to selected ramptime.[7] External Interlock Same function as Coasting stop, inverse, but External Interlock generates the alarmmessage ’external fault’ on the displaywhen the terminal which is programmedfor Coast Inverse is logic ‘0’. The alarmmessage will also be active via digitaloutputs and relay outputs, if programmedfor External Interlock. The alarm can bereset using a digital input or the [Reset] keyif the cause for the External Interlock hasbeen removed.*[8] Start Select start for a start/stop command. Logic‘1’ = start, logic ‘0’ = stop. (Default Digitalinput 18)[9] Latched start Motor starts, if a pulse is applied for min.2ms. Motor stops when Stop inverse isactivated.[10] Reversing Change direction of motor shaft rotation.Reversing signal only changes direction ofrotation; it does not activate start function.Select Both directions [2] in 4-10 MotorSpeed Direction. 0 = normal, 1 = reversing.[11] Start reversing Use for start/stop and for reversing at thesame time. Signals on start [8] are notallowed at the same time. 0 = stop, 1 = startreversing.[14] Jog Used for activating jog speed. See 3-11 JogSpeed [Hz]. (Default Digital input 29)[16] Preset ref bit 0 Enables a choice between one of the eightpreset references according to the tablebelow.[17] Preset ref bit 1 Enables a choice between one of the eightpreset references according to the tablebelow.[18] Preset ref bit 2 Enables a choice between one of the eightpreset references according to Table 3.1.[19] Freeze reference Freeze actual reference. The frozenreference is now the point of enable/condition for Speed up and Speed down tobe used. If Speed up/down is used, speedchange always follows ramp 2 (3-51 Ramp 2Ramp up Time and 3-52 Ramp 2 Ramp downTime) in the range 3-02 Minimum Reference -3-03 Maximum Reference.Parameters VLT HVAC Basic Drive Programming GuideMG.18.B1.02 - VLT® is a registered Danfoss trademark 353 3
