Scanning FeaturesProduct Reference Guide 317Flash Off TimeThis feature specifies the OFF time for the indicator LED while in Flash Mode. The selectablerange is 100 to 9,900 milliseconds (0.1 to 9.9 seconds), in 100 millisecond increments.Follow these instructions to set this feature.1. Determine the desired setting in milliseconds.2. Divide the desired setting by 100 (setting is in 100ms increments). Pad the result withleading zeroes to yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.3. Go to page 105 and scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode toenter Programming Mode.4. Scan the barcode: SELECT FLASH OFF TIME SETTING.5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in Appendix D, Keypad, that representthe duration which was determined in the steps above. You will hear a two-beep indica-tion after the last character.If you make a mistake before the last character, scan the CANCEL barcode toabort and not save the entry string. You can then start again at the begin-ning.6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to exit ProgrammingMode.This completes the procedure.
