The delay can be set within a range of zero (0) to 990 milliseconds in10ms increments. A setting of zero specifies no delay. To set the delay:1. Determine the desired setting in milliseconds.2. Divide the desired setting by 10 (setting is in 10ms increments). Pad the result with lead-ing zeroes to yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.3. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to enter ProgrammingMode.4. Go to page 47 and scan the barcode: SELECT INTERCHARACTER DELAY SET-TING.5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in Appendix D Keypad, that representthe duration which was determined in the steps above. You will hear a two-beep indica-tion after the last character. If you make a mistake before the last character, scan the CANCEL barcode toabort and not save the entry string. You can then start again at the beginning.6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to exit. This completes the procedure. See Table 28 for some examples of how to set this feature.Table 28.
