108 Appendixw w w . d e l l . c o m | s u p p o r t . d e l l . c o m Limited Warranty Coverage During Year TwoDuring the second year of this limited warranty, Dell will provide, on anexchange basis and subject to Dell’s Exchange Policy in effect on the date ofthe exchange, replacement parts for the Dell hardware product(s) coveredunder this limited warranty when a part requires replacement. You mustreport each instance of hardware failure to Dell’s Customer TechnicalSupport in advance to obtain Dell's concurrence that a part should bereplaced and to have Dell ship the replacement part. Dell will ship parts(freight prepaid) if you use an address in the continental U.S., whereapplicable. Shipments to other locations, where applicable, will be madefreight collect. Dell will include a prepaid shipping container with eachreplacement part for your use in returning the replaced part to Dell.Replacement parts are new or reconditioned. Dell may provide replacementparts made by various manufacturers when supplying parts to you. Thewarranty term for a replacement part is the remainder of the limitedwarranty term.You will pay Dell for replacement parts if the replaced part is not returned toDell. The process for returning replaced parts, and your obligation to pay forreplacement parts if you do not return the replaced parts to Dell, will be inaccordance with Dell’s Exchange Policy in effect on the date of theexchange.You accept full responsibility for your software and data. Dell is not requiredto advise or remind you of appropriate backup and other procedures.
