See Figure 3-9.b Rotate the end of the stabilizer down toward the front of the system until the latch clicks intoplace against the chassis.9 Connect any internal or external cables to the expansion card.10 Close the system. See "Opening the System" on page 48.3 If you are removing a full-length expansion card, remove the expansion-card stabilizer:a Pivot the end of the stabilizer upward and toward the front of the system. See Figure 3-9.b Draw the stabilizer straight up from the tab slots and out of the system.4 Disconnect any internal or external cables that are connected to the expansion card.5 Open the expansion-card retainer adjacent to the slot. See Figure 3-9.6 Grasp the expansion card and carefully remove it from the socket connector.7 If you are permanently removing the card, replace the metal filler bracket over the empty card-slotopening.NOTE: Filler brackets must be installed over empty expansion-card slots to maintain FCC certification of thesystem.
