3. Open the system.4. Disconnect all the cables from the expansion card.5. Holding the card by its edge, pull the card to disengage from the connector and lift the card out of the chassis.If you are removing the card permanently, install a filler bracket in the empty card slot.NOTE: Filler brackets must be installed over empty expansion-card slots to maintain FCC certification of thesystem. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper cooling and airflow inside thesystem.6. Push the expansion card latch toward the system until it clicks into place.7. Close the system.8. Place the system upright on a flat, stable surface.9. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.Figure 24.
