– 30 – ENDVD SETUPWhen HDMI AUDIO is selected forMULTI CHANNEL, the bass manage-ment setting menu will appear. Set theSpeaker Configuration, DELAY TIMEand CHANNEL LEVEL for each speak-ers (front, center, surround and subwoofer).Speaker ConfigurationSet the size of each speaker betweenLARGE and SMALL.• The presence of the speakers isdetected automatically. Set thedetected speakers’ size.• When a speaker is not detected,its size is set as NONE.• Once a speaker is detected, youcannot set it to NONE.• During HDMI audio output, thesound output via analog channelsmay be restricted.DELAY TIMESame as DELAY TIME setting for “Speaker Setting forANALOG AUDIO” on this page.Speaker Setting for ANALOG AUDIOWhen MULTI CHANNEL is selected for ANALOG AUDIO,some speaker settings will be required.• Set AUDIO MODE to ANALOG beforehand to perform thissetting.Press the Cursor buttons (K orL) to select MULTI CHANNEL,then press the ENTER button.Press the Cursor buttons (K orL) to select the below items,then press the ENTER button.• The custom mode will appear.Speaker Configuration• Press the Cursor buttons (K orL) to select the speaker to set,then press the ENTER button.• Press the Cursor buttons (K orL) to select the speaker size,then press the ENTER button.FRONT(L/R), CENTER, SURROUND(L/R)LARGE: Select this when the connected speaker iscapable of playing back sounds of 100Hz orless.SMALL: Select this when the connected speaker is notcapable of playing back sounds of 100Hz orless.NONE: Select this when it is not connected. (It cannotbe set none on the FRONT speaker.)SUB WOOFERYES: Select this when SUB WOOFER is connected.NONE: Select this when it is not connected.NOTES:• NONE is not available for SUB WOOFER when SMALLis selected for FRONT (L/R).• SMALL is not available for FRONT (L/R) when NONEis selected for SUB WOOFER.• ON is not available for BASS ENHANCER when NONEis selected for SUB WOOFER.• When in playback of DVD audio, the sound may notcome out as set due to restrictions in the disc or theplayer.DELAY TIMEWith 5.1-channel surround sound, ideally the distancebetween the listening position and all the speakers(exclude Sub woofer).
