12 Turning on your TV for the first timeDX-15L150A11/DX19L150A11/DX-22L150A11Connecting a home theater systemConnecting using digital audio cableTo connect using digital audio cable:1 Make sure that your TV’s power cord is unplugged and the hometheater system is turned off.2 Connect one end of a digital optical audio cable (not included) tothe DIGITAL OUTPUT jack on the back of the TV.3 Connect the other end of the audio cable to the digital audio injack on the home theater system.Note: The DIGITAL OUTPUT jack only works with digital TV channels.To play TV sound through a home theater system:1 Turn on the TV and select a program to watch.2 Turn on the home theater system and select the TV sound source,then adjust the volume to a comfortable level.Connecting headphonesWarning: When using headphones, adjust the headphone volume toavoid excessively loud volume which can damage your hearing.To connect headphones:• Plug the headphones (not included) into the (headphone)jack on the side of the TV.Turning on your TV for the firsttimeThe first time you turn on your TV, the Setup Wizard opens. The SetupWizard guides you through setting up basic settings including the menulanguage, time mode, picture mode, and TV signal source.To configure your TV:1 Make sure that you have inserted the batteries in the remotecontrol, connected your devices to the TV, and connected the ACpower.2 Press (Power), then wait several seconds. The initial SetupWizard opens (only the first time you turn on your TV) to theChoose your menu language screen.3 Press or to select English, French, or Spanish, then pressENTER to confirm. The Time screen opens with Modehighlighted.4 Press or to highlight Auto or Manual time mode, thenpress ENTER. The Choose your Picture Mode screen opens.Note: If the time mode is set to Auto, the date and time are set based on atime signal received from a DTV channel and the only options you canadjust are Time Zone and Daylight Savings.5 Press or to select Home mode or Retail mode, then pressENTER to confirm.If you chose Home mode (default - has the same settings as theEnergy Savings picture mode), the Choose your TV source screenopens.
