Changing channel settings 17DX-19LD150A11/DX-22LD150A11Changing channel settingsAutomatically searching for TV channelsBefore you can watch TV channels in your area, you need to let theTV/DVD combo scan for available TV channels and store them in the TVchannel list. You do not need to scan for channels unless the availablechannels changed after you ran the Setup Wizard. For moreinformation, see “Turning on your TV/DVD combo for the first time” onpage 11.To scan for channels:1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the Picture menudisplayed.2 Press or to highlight Channel. The Channel menu opens.3 Press or to highlight Air / Cable, then press or tochange the setting to:• Air—VHF and UHF channels• Cable—Cable TV channels (no cable box).• Cable / Satellite Box—Cable or satellite TV tuner box.Channel auto search is not necessary if you select this option.4 Press or to highlight Auto Channel Search, then pressENTER. A confirmation box opens.5 Press or to select Yes, then press ENTER to automaticallystart the scan. A progress box shows the progress of the scan.Auto Scan may take a while to complete. A progress report isdisplayed while your TV/DVD combo is scanning for availablechannels. After the digital channel scan is complete, you cancontinue to search for analog channels without pressing anybuttons, or you can press EXIT to exit if you do not need theanalog channel scan. You can press MENU or EXIT at any time tostop Auto Scan prior to completion, but you will need to run itlater to complete the process.Auto Scan creates a list of available/receivable channels for theselected signal input.Hiding channelsYou can delete channels from the channel list so that your TV/DVDcombo skips the channels when you press CH /CH . You can still tuneto the hidden channel by using the number buttons.To hide a channel:1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the Picture menudisplayed.2 Press or to highlight Channel. The Channel menu opens.
