UPS Operating InstructionsEaton 9E UPS (80-200 kVA, 380/400/415V) Installation and Operation Manual 6-13To transfer the load to HE mode:1. Select the CONTROLS symbol on the main menu bar. The System Control screen is displayed.2. If not already selected, select UPS on the System Control screen.3. On the UPS System Control screen, select the HE: DISABLE ENABLE command, then press theRETURN pushbutton.After battery is fully charged , the UPS transfers to HE mode if no abnormal power conditions are detected.If abnormal power conditions are detected, the UPS will wait and transfer to HE mode when conditions arecleared.The NORMAL status indicator is illuminated.6.3.4 Transfer from Bypass to Normal ModeTo transfer the critical load to Normal mode:1. Select the CONTROLS symbol on the main menu bar. The System Control screen is displayed.2. If not already selected, select UPS on the System Control screen.3. On the UPS System Control screen, select the BYPASS NORMAL command, then press the RETURNpushbutton.The UPS transfers to Normal mode. If the power module is not available, the system remains on bypassand an alarm sounds.The NORMAL status indicator is illuminated.6.3.6 Transfer from HE Mode to Standard Normal ModeTo transfer the load to Standard Normal mode:1. Select the CONTROLS symbol on the main menu bar. The System Control screen is displayed.2. If not already selected, select UPS on the System Control screen.3. On the UPS System Control screen, select the HE: ENABLE DISABLE command, then press theRETURN pushbutton.The UPS transfers to Standard Normal mode.The NORMAL status indicator is illuminated.6.3.5 Transfer from Standard Normal Mode to HE mode6.3.7 Transfer from Normal Mode to Internal Maintenance Bypass (Optional on 80-120kVA)To transfer the load to maintenance bypass:1. Loosen the screws that fix the cover over the maintenance bypass switch and slide the cover to the right.This action will signal the UPS to transfer to static bypass. Refer to Figure 6-8 for switch arrangement.2. Verify that the LCD/LED display indicates the UPS is in Bypass mode.3. Close the Maintenance Bypass switch.4. Open the Input, Bypass Input and Output switches separately.5. Loosen the screws that fix the cover over the Neutral switch and push the cover to the left, then open theNeutral switch.The Neutral Switch should remain closed unless operated by a service technician.NOTE
