UPS Operating InstructionsEaton 9E UPS (80-200 kVA, 380/400/415V) Installation and Operation Manual 6-19WARNINGPower is present inside the UPS cabinet.6.4.4 Transfer from Bypass to Normal ModeTo transfer the critical load to Normal mode:1. Select the CONTROLS symbol on the main menu bar. The System Control screen is displayed.2. If not already selected, select UPS on the System Control screen.3. On the UPS System Control screen, select the BYPASS NORMAL command, then press the RETURNpushbutton.All of the UPSs transfer to Normal mode. If the power module is not available, the system remains onbypass and an alarm sounds.The NORMAL status indicator is illuminated.WARNINGPower is present inside the UPS cabinet.6.4.5 Single UPS ShutdownTo shut down the UPS:1. Open the MOB for the UPS being shut down.2. Select the CONTROLS symbol on the main menu bar. The System Control screen is displayed.3. If not already selected, select UPS on the System Control screen.4. On the UPS System Control screen, select the NORMAL UPS OFF command, then press the RETURNpushbutton.The output and bypass backfeed contactors open, and the power module is turned off on the UPS beingshut down.Logic power remains on.WARNINGPower is present inside the UPS cabinet until the upstream input feeder circuit breaker is opened.5. Open the UPS input and, if installed, the bypass feeder circuit breakers for the UPS being shut down.6. If EBCs are installed, open all battery breakersThe UPS is now completely shut down.
