SEFELEC1500M Instructions 141 V1.06The transmission parameters cannot be modified and are:Parity: withoutFormat: 8 bitsStop bit: 1To modify the transmission speed, go to the CONFIG menu, on the INTERFACE line and se-lect RS232. In the Baud rate area select the speed by scrolling through the values between1200 bauds to 115 200 bauds. Confirm by pressing the desired number.A command intended for the device must end with the character: LF (hexadecimal 0A,decimal 10).Codes can be sent in upper or lower case. The maximum number of commands in thesame block cannot exceed 15 instructions. Be careful not to associate standard com-mands or requests with other types of commands. The end of the execution of a block of commands by the device is reported via the emis-sion of the Xon character (hexadecimal 11, decimal 17) and makes it possible to synchro-nise the communication with the computer as the latter has to wait for the Xon characterbefore sending the following blocks. The events that occur during the measurement can be reported to the computer throughemitting a Z character (format errors, end of test, open safety circuit, etc.). To activate thisfunction, the code SRQ must be sent after the device has initialised. When the Z characteris received, a special command allows the computer to accurately know the event (see*STB? and *ESR? commands). In the case of incorrect syntax, the message DIALOGUE ERROR: 1 is displayed. In thecase of a code that is out of context the message DIALOGUE ERROR: 2 is displayed(specific code for a function when we are not in this function, or numerical value out ofbounds).
