12/14 MN05003004Z-EN455 Establishing a PC – XC100 connectionThis section describes the measures that are required to link a PCto the XC100, so that the PC can be used as a programming device(hardware and software).Establishing a connection via the RS232 interfaceCommunication is implemented via the non-optocoupled serialRS232 interface. You can use either the COM1 or the COM2 portfor the PC interface. Please use the XT-SUB-D/RJ45 programmingcable to make the physical connection.Programming cableThe programming cable is made up as shown below:Software easySoft-CoDeSysThe communication parameters are determined by means ofeasySoft-CoDeSys.X Call up the menu item ‹Online r Communication Parameters›in easySoft CoDeSys, and select the COM1 or COM2 interface.X Preselect the values indicated in Figure 59.You can alter the default values by making a double-click on theentered value.Communication fault(#0): Logging offA connection can not be established between the programming PCand the XC100, please check:• the physical connection• the baud rate of the communication parameters in theeasySoft CoDeSys• the baud rate in the XC100 (set as default to 38400 kBit/s)• the baud rate of the CAN connection if the CAN fieldbus is used.• that the interface parameters in the easySoft CoDeSys and inthe XC100 correspond!RJ45 plugs programming cable SUB DsocketFigure 58: Pin assignment RS232 programming cable8765432158423534 12589 67h Further notes on the communication parameters can befound in the programming software manual(MN05010003Z-EN; previously AWB2700-1437GB).Figure 59: Select communication parameters
