– 20 –Circulation SystemThe circulation system consists of the followingcomponents:• Inlet cover• Fine filter and sump filter• Sump• Circulation pump and motor• Hub• Wash arm assembliesThe inlet cover prevents large particles fromentering the sump. The fine filter (metal) andsump filter (plastic) prevent fine particles fromentering the circulation-pump part of the sump(water entering the drain pump is not filtered by thefine filter or by the sump filter). The circulationpump is controlled by the control module and canbe activated using service mode (see ServiceMode). The pump pushes water up through thehub to the lower spray arm and to the main con-duit. The main conduit supplies water to themiddle and upper spray arms.Inlet CoverCaution: Use care to avoid breaking the clip onthe hub when removing the main conduit from hub.Remove the lower wash arm and main conduit togain access to the inlet cover and sump.Circulation PumpNote: It is extremely important that the self-tappingground-wire screw on the circulation pump istightened securely. The dishwasher must be removed from its instal-lation to gain access to the circulation pump. Thecirculation pump can be activated using servicemode (see Service Mode). Refer to schematic orstrip circuit for motor resistance value. To Remove Circulation Pump:1. Remove cover inlet. With syringe, remove allwater from sump.2. Loosen main pump clamp and pump connec-tor clamp.3. Remove hanger that holds motor to tub frame.4. The Circulation Pump can now be removedfrom under dishwasher.Circulation Pump and MotorSumpHubFine FilterMain Conduit Inlet Cover (Sump filteris under inlet cover)CIRCULATION PUMPJ2-1 M WRNX10 NO COMWXDOORINTERLOCKNL1 Output from J2-1MotorMain PumpDrain LineHigh DrainWater ValveFlood SwitchTurbiditySumpDrain PumpDrain PumpPumpConnectorHanger
