Letters indicate the cardinal points and numeric labelsoccur every 30º. Major tick marks are at 10º intervals and minor tick marks at5º intervals. A digital reading of the current heading appears on top of the HSI,and the current ground track is represented on the HSI by a magenta diamond.The HSI also presents turn rate, course deviation, bearing, and navigationsource information. The “MSG” annunciation will be shown in the HSI whenan unacknowledged message is present on the selected navigator.
