25Basic OperationActive Route PageWhenever you have activated a route in the GPSMAP 276C, the Active Route Page shows each point(waypoint or map item) of the active route. The current destination point, the ‘active’ point, is markedwith an arrow icon. As you navigate a route, the list automatically updates to indicate the next ‘active’point first. Refer to the “Route Tab” section of this guide for complete information.Route Review PageOnce you have created a route, the Route Review Page allows you to edit a selected route.To open to the Route Review Page:1. Press MENU twice and highlight ‘Route’ from the vertical list of tabs.2. Use the ARROW KEYPAD to highlight the name of the desired route and press ENTER/MARK.To enter a custom route name:By default the name includes the first and last waypoints in the route.1. From the Route Review Page, highlight the name field and press ENTER/MARK to begin editing.2. Use the ARROW KEYPAD to enter up to a 15-character name and press ENTER/MARK.To review individual route points:1. From the Route Review Page, highlight the desired point and press ENTER/MARK.2. On the Point Review window, you may choose ‘Next’ (highlight the next point on the route list),‘Show Map’ (show the point on a map window) or ‘Save’ (save the point as a waypoint) and pressENTER/MARK. If the route point is a user waypoint, you may edit any of the waypoint properties onthe Waypoint Review Page (see the “Waypoint” section in the “Basic Operation” chapter for details).Once you are back on the Route Review Page, the next point in the route is automatically highlighted.This allows you to review each point on the route by pressing ENTER/MARK repeatedly.Using RoutesRoute List PageRoute Review Page
