27Basic OperationTo add points to the route using the Route Review Page and the Find Menu:1. Press MENU twice to open the Main Menu. Use the ARROW KEYPAD to select ‘Route’.2. Use the ARROW KEYPAD to select the desired route and press ENTER/MARK.3. Use the ARROW KEYPAD to highlight the spot in the route that you want to add the new point. (Thenew point is added before the highlighted route point.) Press MENU.4. Highlight ‘Insert Waypoint’ and press ENTER/MARK.5. The Find Menu automatically opens for you to search for and select the waypoint or point of interestyou want to add to the route.6. In the point Review Page, press ENTER/MARK when ‘OK’ is highlighted to add the new point to theroute.To use the Trip Planning feature:1. Press MENU twice to open the Main Menu. Use the ARROW KEYPAD to select ‘Route’.2. Use the ARROW KEYPAD to select the desired route and press ENTER/MARK.3. Press MENU. Highlight ‘Plan Route’ and press ENTER/MARK.4. Enter the desired data for Speed, Fuel Flow, Departure Time, and Departure Date. Press QUIT toreturn to the Route Review Page.NOTE: Fuel fl ow rates on your unit are measured in “units per hour”. System setting changesfor units of measure (statute, nautical or metric) do not affect the fuel fl ow measure. Youshould enter fuel fl ow rates based upon available information for your vehicle (such as theoperator’s manual or performance specifications) and make note of the desired units of mea-sure (such as gallons or liters).Following a RouteOnce a route has been created, it can be activated and used for navigation with the NAV/MOB key.Refer to the previous pages for more information.Using RoutesRoute Review Page Options MenuCreating a new route on the map
