The TIS audio alert is also generated whenever TISservice becomes available. The following TIS audio alerts are available:“Traffic”—TIS traffic alert received.•“Traffic Not Available”—TIS service is not available or out of range.•Adjusting alert volume:1) Press the MENU Key twice to access the Main Menu.2) Turn or move the FMS Joystick to highlight ‘System Setup’, and press theENT Key.3) Turn or move the FMS Joystick to highlight ‘Sound’, and press the ENT Key.4) Move the FMS Joystick to highlight the ‘Alert Volume’ field.5) Turn the FMS Joystick to select the desired volume (0-10), and press theENT Key.TRAFFIC WARNING WINDOWWhen a traffic threat is imminent, the Traffic Warning Window is shown. The TrafficWarning Window shows a small pop-up thumbnail map in the lower left corner. TheRange Rings on the pop-up alert are spaced every whole mile/kilometer/nautical mile.Press the ClR Key to remove the Traffic Warning Window.NOte:The Traffic Warning Window is disabled when the aircraft ground speedis less than 30 knots or when on the approach leg of a route.traFFic GrOuNd trackTraffic ground track is indicated on the GPSMAP 695/696 screen by a “target trackvector”, a short line shown in 45-degree increments, extending in the direction oftarget movement.
