SafeTaxi is always available for useafter the expiration date. When turning on the GPSMAP 695/696, the Power-upPage indicates whether the databases are current, out of date, or not available. ThePower-up Page shows the SafeTaxi database is current when the SafeTaxi Expires dateis shown in white. When the SafeTaxi cycle has expired, the SafeTaxi Expires dateappears in yellow.The SafeTaxi Region, Version, Cycle, Effective date and Expiration date of the databasecycle can also be found in the Main Menu, under ‘Database Information’.The SafeTaxi database is provided by Garmin. Refer to Appendix C for instructionson updating the SafeTaxi database.5.2 FlitechartSFliteCharts resemble the paper version of National Aeronautical Charting Office(NACO) terminal procedures charts. The charts are displayed with high-resolutionand in color for applicable charts. FliteCharts database subscription is available fromGarmin.
