Voice Language: Sets the language for voice prompts.Text Language: Sets all on-screen text to the selectedlanguage.NOTE: Changing the text language does not change thelanguage of user-entered data or map data, such as streetnames.Keyboard Language: Enables keyboard languages.Proximity Alerts SettingsNOTE: You must have custom points of interest (POIs) loadedfor proximity points alerts to display.NOTE: This feature is not available in all areas.Select Settings > Proximity Alerts.Audio: Sets the style of alert that plays when you approachproximity points.Alerts: Sets the type of proximity points for which alerts areplayed.Wi-Fi SettingsTo control music playback, RV HUB remote communicates withthe RV HUB dock using wi-fi technology. The music app doesnot work if the remote does not have a wi-fi connection to thedock. You can change the connection mode in the wi-fi settings.By default, the dock broadcasts a wi-fi access point, and theremote connects directly to the dock access point. This option isrecommended for most installations.If your vehicle provides an existing w-fi network, you canconnect the dock and remote to the network, and the dock andremote communicate over the network.Select Settings > Wi-Fi.RV HUB Remote: Allows you to connect the remote to the dockor to a wi-fi network.RV HUB DOCK: Allows you to connect the dock to a wi-finetwork or change the dock access point settings.Connecting the Remote to the Dock ManuallyBy default, the remote connects to the dock automatically eachtime you place it in the dock. appears in the status bar whenthe remote successfully connects to the dock.If the remote does not connect automatically, or if you lose theconnection, you can manually connect the remote and dock.1 Place the remote in the dock (Docking the RV HUB Remote,page 1).2 Select Settings > Wi-Fi > RV HUB DOCK.3 Verify the mode switch at the top of the screen is set toAccess Point.4 Enter an access point name (SSID), an access pointpassword (PSK), and a security method (optional).5 Select to return to the Wi-Fi settings.6 Select RV HUB Remote.A list of nearby networks and access points appears.7 Select the access point name you entered in step 4.NOTE: The default name is RV-BBT60X-XXXXXXXXXX, witheach X replaced by a number.8 If necessary, enter the password.The remote connects to the dock, and appears in the statusbar. You can control the media playback on the dock using theremote.Connecting the Dock and Remote to a Wi-Fi NetworkIf your vehicle provides an existing wi-fi network, you canconnect both the dock and the remote to the same network.1 Place the remote in the dock (Docking the RV HUB Remote,page 1).2 Select Settings > Wi-Fi > RV HUB DOCK.3 Select the mode switch at the top of the screen to enableStation mode.A list of nearby networks and access points appears.4 Select your vehicle wi-fi network, and enter the password, ifnecessary.The dock connects to the wi-fi network.5 Select to return to the Wi-Fi settings.6 Select RV HUB Remote.A list of nearby networks and access points appears.7 Select your vehicle wi-fi network, and enter the password, ifnecessary.NOTE: You must select the same network name youselected in step 4.The remote connects to the vehicle wi-fi, and appears inthe status bar. The remote and dock communicate over thenetwork, and you can control the media playback on the dockusing the remote.On some networks, it may not be possible to use thisconfiguration. If the remote cannot control the dock while bothdevices are connected to your vehicle wi-fi network, you shouldconnect the remote using the dock access point (Connecting theRemote to the Dock Manually, page 16).Access Point SettingsYou can change the settings for the dock access point.While the remote is docked, select Settings > Wi-Fi >RV HUB DOCK, and set the mode switch at the top of thescreen to Access Point.SSID: Allows you to change the network name for the accesspoint.PSK: Sets the password for the access point. This field isrequired if the Security setting is set to a value other thanNone.Security: Sets the security mode for the access point. If thesecurity mode is set to None, a password is not required toconnect to the dock.Advanced: Allows you to set the country in which the accesspoint is operating and change the Wi-Fi channel the networkuses. Depending on your environment, changing to a lesscongested channel can help to improve the quality of yourconnection.DHCP: Allows you to set the start and end of the IP addressrange used by the internal DHCP server, or disable theDHCP server.NOTE: You should not change the DHCP settings unless it isrequired for the local network and you have a thoroughknowledge of the local network configuration. IncorrectDHCP settings can prevent the remote from connecting tothe dock. If the DHCP server is disabled, you must provide aseparate DHCP server or manually configure IP addressesfor all connected devices. If you have changed theDHCP settings and the remote cannot connect to the dock,you should reset the Wi-Fi settings to their factory defaultvalues.Sound SettingsSelect Settings > Sound.Default Notification: Sets the default sound used fornotifications.Touch Sound: Plays a sound when you touch some on-screenobjects, such as the keyboard.Screen Lock Sound: Plays a sound when you unlock the lockscreen.TTS Solo: Enables text-to-speech.16 Customizing the Device |
