September 2016 Service and Repair ManualManifoldsPart No. 1268556 91How to Adj ust the Sec ondary Boom Extend R elief Val veHow to Adjust the SecondaryBoom Extend Relief ValveNote: Perform this procedure with the secondaryboom fully raised.Note: Refer to Function Manifold Component list tolocate the secondary boom extend relief valve.1 Connect a 0 to 5000 psi / 0 to 350 barpressure gauge to the ls port on the functionmanifold.2 Start the engine from the ground controls.3 Simultaneously push and hold the functionenable/high speed button and the secondaryboom up/extend button with the secondaryboom fully raised and extended. Observe thepressure reading on the pressure gauge. Referto Specifications, Hydraulic Specifications.4 Turn the engine off. Use a wrench to hold therelief valve and remove the cap.5 Adjust the internal hex socket. Turn itclockwise to increase the pressure orcounterclockwise to decrease the pressure.Install the relief valve capTip-over hazard. Do not adjustthe relief valve higher thanspecified.6 Repeat steps 2 through 5 to confirm reliefvalve pressure.7 Remove the pressure gauge.How to Adj ust the Pl atfor m M anifold Reli ef Val veHow to Adjust the PlatformManifold Relief ValveNote: Perform this procedure with the boom in thestowed position.Note: Refer to Function Manifold Component list tolocate the platform manifold relief valve.1 Connect a 0 to 5000 psi / 0 to 350 barpressure gauge to the ptest 2 port on thefunction manifold.2 Start the engine from the ground controls.3 Simultaneously push and hold the functionenable/high speed button and the jib boomdown button with the jib boom fully lowered.Observe the reading on the pressure gauge.Refer to Specifications, HydraulicSpecifications.4 Turn the engine off. Use a wrench to hold therelief valve and remove the cap.5 Adjust the internal hex socket. Turn itclockwise to increase the pressure orcounterclockwise to decrease the pressure.Install the relief valve cap.Tip-over hazard. Do not adjustthe relief valve higher thanspecified.6 Repeat steps 2 through 3 to confirm reliefvalve pressure.7 Remove the pressure gauge.
