Thisprocedure requires specific repairskills, lifting equipment and asuitable workshop. Attemptingthis procedure without these skillsand tools could result in death orserious injury and significantcomponent damage. Dealerservice is strongly recommended.Note: Perform this procedure with the boom in thestowed position.Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hoseend must be replaced. All connections must betorqued to specification during installation. Refer toSpecifications, Hydraulic Hose and Fitting TorqueSpecifications.1 Remove the platform mounting weldment andthe platform rotator. Refer to RepairProcedure, How to Remove the PlatformRotator.2 Remove the hose and cable cover retainingfasteners from the jib boom. Remove the hoseand cable cover from the machine.3 Attach a lifting strap from an overhead crane tothe jib boom for support. Do not apply liftingpressure.4 Tag, disconnect and plug the jib boom liftcylinder hydraulic hoses. Cap the fittings onthe cylinder.Bodily injury hazard. Sprayinghydraulic oil can penetrate andburn skin. Loosen hydraulicconnections very slowly to allowthe oil pressure to dissipategradually. Do not allow oil tosquirt or spray.1 jib boom2 platform rotator upper pivot pin3 platform rotator lower pivot pin4 jib boom leveling arm5 jib cylinder pivot pin6 jib boom cylinder7 primary boom lower pivot pin8 primary boom upper pivot pin5 Support the barrel end of the jib boom cylinderwith another suitable lifting device.6 Remove the pin retaining fastener from the jibboom lift cylinder barrel-end pivot pin.
