138.1. Cleaning the surfaceDirt on the upper surface of the stove may be cleanedoff with a damp cloth or if necessary with mild soapywater. You are advised against using corrosive cleaningagents and solvents since these might damage thesurfaces.8.2. Cleaning the glass panelTo clean the viewing panel, you must first open thestove door. Dirt on the glass panel can be removed witha glass cleaner or with a damp sponge on which youhave sprinkled some of the wood ash present.(Environmentally friendly).Cleaning the glass panel may only be done with acooled down stove in the OFF operating mode.8.3. Clean combustion chamber” functioninstructionDie The display on the operator console starts flashing.(The backlighting switches on and off and the “Cleancombustion chamber” instruction appears). The instruction to clean the combustion chamber refersnot just to the cleaning of the burner but also to thecleaning of the entire combustion chamber with an ashvacuum cleaner. The process of the “Clean combustion chamber”function looks like this:The entire combustion chamber is to be cleaned with anash vacuum cleaner at intervals of no longer than 30operating hours. The process of the “Clean combustion chamber”function looks like this:The entire combustion chamber is to be cleaned with anash vacuum cleaner at intervals of no longer than 30operating hours. However, this instruction to clean the combustionchamber (display flashing) does not trigger an errormessage during Heating mode. But after the display hasstarted flashing, if the stove switchesback to “Standby” mode, the stove can no longer beautomatically ignited before the combustion chamberhas been cleaned. To clean the combustion chamber, the stove has to beswitched to “Off” operating status. If the combustion chamber is now cleaned, then the“Clean combustion chamber” error message willthereafter be cleared automatically. A precondition forthe automatic clearance of this error message is that thecombustion chamber door is open for longer than 60seconds in “Off” operating status. This time is requiredfor cleaning the combustion chamber including theburner thoroughly with an ash vacuum cleaner. If the door is open longer than 60 seconds in “Off”operating status, then the operating hours counter, which is responsible for the “Clean combustionchamber” instruction, is automatically reset to zero. This reset of the operating hours counter occurs even ifthe cleaning of the combustion chamber is performedbefore the 30 operating hours have run provided that thestove is in “Off” operating status and the door is open forlonger than 60 seconds during cleaning.8.4. Cleaning the combustion pot -weeklyDuring operation, deposits may form in the combustionpot. How quickly the combustion pot becomes dirtydepends solely on fuel quality. The deposits orencrustations must be removed from time to time.Cleaning the combustion pot may only be done with acooled down stove in “OFF” operating mode. Otherwisethere is a risk of burns! To this end the combustion pot must be removed fromthe stove. Once the combustion pot has been removed, any residual ash that is in the stove underneath thecombustion pot must also be removed. After cleaning, the combustion pot is to be put back intothe right position in the burner seat. Check the correctseating of the combustion pot again so as to avoid poorseals.Figure 5: Burner dirtyFigure 6: Burner cleanThe cleaning intervals for the combustion pot and theglass panel depend directly on the quality of the woodpellets (high ash content) and may vary between a fewhours of combustion and several days.
