Operator consoleFigure 15: Operator console9.6..1 BacklightingThe backlighting of the display is switched off 5minutes after the operator console was lastoperated.9.6..2 Activating the backlightingThe backlighting is switched on by pressing anykey. It is only after the backlighting is activated thatthe function keys are active. The backlighting is also activated by any errormessage generated.9.7. Induced draught fan with rotation speedfeedbackThe induced draught fan generates low pressure inthe combustion chamber and thereby supplies therequired volume of air for combustion to thecombustion chamber or through the combustionpot. The induced draught fan is equipped with rotationspeed feedback. This permits detection of anydifference between the target and actual operatingstatus and countermeasures to be taken or, in thecase of greater differences, permits the stove to beshut down (safety shutdown).9.8. Flame or combustion chamber temperaturesensor (combustion chamber thermosensor)The flame temperature is measured in “Heatingmode” operating mode. The flame temperature measured is an indicator ofthe energy level in the grate and hence the basis ofthe air volume required for the combustion of theenergy level located in the grate. Here the ACTUAL flame temperature is comparedwith the TARGET in combination with the processor-regulated control unit and the appropriate combustionair volume required for the combustion of the energylevel in the grate is supplied by means of the induceddraught fan.9.9. Flue gas thermosensorThe flue gas thermosensor is located on the housingof the induced draught fan and protrudes into the fluegas duct across the direction of the flow of the fluegas, where the flue gas flows around it, and thusmeasures its temperature and temperature change.(See Figure 10).With the thermosensor, the temperature and itschange can be measured directly (accurate to about2ºC) in the flue gas and so be accessed for thecontrol unit and regulation.9.10. Room temperature sensorThe room temperature sensor measures theACTUAL room temperature in the area of thestove. The room temperature sensor is an instrument forthe TARGET – ACTUAL comparison between theTARGET room temperature and the ACTUAL roomtemperature and is therefore the basis for thespecification of the required heat output for thestove.Figure 16:1 = Mains cable2 = OC overheat cutout3 = temperature sensor4 = Flue elbow 80 mm5 = Outside air connection 40 mm6 = Bottom of back wall613524
