Notethat when any digital source is selected,the audio source will indicate **.You may also use this menu to turn theattenuation, or ATT, function on or offfor a source by moving the cursor to theATT line and using the ‹ or › buttonsi to select ON or OFF. When the ATTfunction is enabled the input level isreduced to prevent overloading the inputcircuits.SURROUND MODE: At this menu (seefigure #15) you may change thesurround mode by using the ⁄ or ¤buttons i to position the on-screencursor > next to MODE and using the‹ or › buttons i to select the desiredmode. To change the delay time positionthe cursor next to SURROUND CH andthen use the ‹ or › buttons i to selectdesired delay time for the surroundchannels. Note that an adjustment forthe delay time of the center channel ispossible only in the Dolby Digital mode.TEST TONE: At this menu youmay adjust the front and surroundspeaker output levels. For informationon this procedure, refer to the SystemConfiguration section of this manual.SET UP MENU: For information onusing the Setup menus, refer to theSystem Configuration section of thismanual.SLEEP TIMER SET: This enables youto set the sleep timer, which will place theunit in a standby mode after a set periodof time. To reach this menu, press the ⁄or ¤ buttons i to position the on-screen cursor > next to SLEEP TIMERand press Select j. At the next screen,the SLEEP TIMER SET menu (see figure #16) the cursor will be next toTIMER SET. Use the ‹ or › buttonsi to select the amount of time beforeturn off and note that the time will blink.Press the ¤ button so that the on-screencursor >is next to TIMER OFF ON. Use the‹ or › buttons i to highlight ON andpress Select j. The time figure willstop flashing indicating that the timerhas been started. Press ¤ one more timeso that the cursor is next to RETURNTO MAIN MENU and press Select j.Note that when the MAIN MENU returnsto the screen the time figurewill appear next to the words SLEEPTIMER.
