Fortracks 1 through 9 on a disc, youneed only press the desired number.For tracks 10 and above, the seconddigit of the number must be enteredwithin two seconds of the first digit.(See page 10 for more information.)These buttons are also used to entertrack numbers into the memory forpre-programmed play lists. (Seepage 13 for complete information onprogramming the HD720.)d Program Button: Press thisbutton to begin the process of pro-gramming the HD720 to play thetracks on a disc in a specific order.Once the button is pressed, entereach of the desired track numbers inquick succession using the NumericControls c. When you haveentered the tracks to be played,press the Play button j to beginthe programmed sequence. (Seepage 13 for complete informationon programming the HD720.)e Clear Button: Press this buttonto remove tracks from a programmedsequence. Each press of the buttonwill remove one track, starting withthe last track programmed to play.(See page 13 for complete informa-tion on programming the HD720.)f Repeat 1/All Button: Press thisbutton once so that the REPEAT andALL indicators are illuminated torepeat all tracks on the disc. Pressthe button a second time to repeatonly the track that is currently beingplayed, and note that the REPEATand ONE indicators will light in theInformation Display. (See page 14for more information on Repeat Play.)g Repeat A–B Button: Press thisbutton to repeat a segment of thedisc. Press the button once to markthe start of the portion to be repeated.Press it again at the end of the desiredsequence. The marked passage willnot play continuously until the Stopbutton k is pressed. (See page 14for more information on Repeat Play.)h Skip Buttons: Press one ofthese buttons to move to the nexttrack ·, or to move back to theprevious track ‡.i Search Buttons: Press one ofthese buttons to search forward— or backwards ‚ through adisc to locate a particular portion ofthe selection being played.j Play Button: Press this button tostart the playback of a CD. If the CDdrawer is open, pressing this buttonwill automatically close the drawer.k Stop: Press this button to stop thedisc currently being played.l Pause Button: Press this buttononce to momentarily stop a disc.When the button is pressed again,the disc will resume play at the pointit was stopped.m Random Button: Press thisbutton to put a disc into play, and tohave all of the tracks played in arandom order. (See page 10 formore information.)n Time Button: Press this buttonto select the time display. In normaloperation, the display will show therunning time of a track being played.Press the button once to check thetime remaining for the track in play.Press the button a third time to viewthe total play time remaining for thedisc in play.o Check Button: Press this buttonto check the order of tracks pro-grammed into the HD720’s memory.(See page 13 for complete informationon programming the HD720.)p Intro Button: Press this buttonto put the HD720 in the Intro Scanmode. When you press the button,the unit will play the first 15 secondsof each track on the disc, and thenmove to the next track. Press the but-ton again to defeat the function andcontinue full play of the current track.(See page 12 for more information.)q Display Button: Press thisbutton once to dim the front paneldisplay to half brightness. Press itagain to turn the display lights offcompletely. Another press will returnthe display to normal brightness.
